The Brothers

If someone mentions “the Mountains”, they are almost certainly talking about the great range in the north that includes Mt. Renna.

Not many people mention the lesser range in the northwest, but if they do, then they will refer to it by its three peaks: The Brothers. The Brothers run almost parallel with the curve of the Wall, with the Youngest in the south, the Eldest in the north, and the Middle Brother in the middle.

Isolation & Outreach

The harsh terrain and difficult trails crisscrossing The Brothers have made it an ideal locale for hermits, recluses, and almost no one else. As the years passed and settlements sprung up, Congress Monastery began programs to ensure that these isolated communities still had access to healers and arcane protection. The Church of Lumen took on the bulk of this work, with their Lumeneers eventually also offering postal services.

As solitary homesteads and small towns became more connected, journeymen unaffiliated with Congress Monastery began auxiliary mail delivery and more specialized services, such as midwifery, tailoring, carpentry, and so on.
